SFU Red Leafs Volleyball – “Away from Home”

Many student-athletes have to balance sports, academics, and their personal lives as they make their way through school. At Simon Fraser University, students come from across the country to play for NCAA’s only Canadian school. I interview two students who come from different provinces who left their lives back home to start a new one in British Columbia.

Importance of Filipino Restaurants

Filipino Restaurants across the Lower Mainland provide spaces for the local community to gather and get a taste of home. For many years, Joyce Street has been home to many of these businesses. The community has grown more throughout the years and been essential to sharing Filipino culture.

This video was filmed and shot before the Lapu-Lapu Day Tragedy and was re-edited to respect the victims and survivors of the incident.
